From I to you and we

Use common present forms and distinguish tú from usted.

Neighbors practice a conversation together.

You learned hablo and estudio. Regular -ar verbs change endings: hablar → yo hablo, tú hablas, él/ella/usted habla, nosotros/nosotras hablamos, ellos/ellas/ustedes hablan. Use the same endings for estudiar and trabajar.

Tú is informal singular you; usted is a polite singular you and takes the same verb form as él/ella: ¿Estudia usted español? Ustedes is plural you throughout Latin America. This course uses Latin American models; other regions may use additional forms such as vosotros.

For simple questions, use question marks and a questioning intonation: ¿Hablas español? A negative sentence puts no before the verb: No hablo mucho español. You can omit the subject pronoun when the verb and context make it clear.

Nosotros estudiamos juntos means We study together. Add y (and), pero (but), and también (also) to connect short statements without making them difficult.

Learning at your own pace

Instructions are always in English. Spanish is the language you are learning; it is not translated through an AI language selector. The course uses Latin American models and notes selected regional differences. Stage names do not establish a CEFR level or guarantee fluency.

Saved data contains lesson completion and assessment results. Practice drafts are not saved or synced. Optional My Progress syncing can merge saved learning across devices. Use fictional personal details in exercises.

Assessments check selected listening and written knowledge. Your speaking and writing are self-reviewed, not automatically scored. For high-stakes conversations, use qualified interpretation.

About estimated study time

Lifehelper estimates time from lesson length, worked exercises, practice sessions, project work and assessments. Short foundation courses use approximately two hours; larger courses and multi-level programs use higher estimates. This is not a timer, accredited credit or verified attendance.
