01 · Build a concept vocabularyOpen lesson

Learn a term by defining it, giving an example and distinguishing it from a nearby term. Psychology vocabulary can differ from everyday usage. Keep a small glossary and revisit it through recall rather than copying long definitions. Knowing a word is more useful when you can explain what it does and does not imply.
Correlation describes association; causation describes an effect, and the terms are not interchangeable.

Create glossary entries for correlation, experiment and variable.
02 · Read a research reportOpen lessonLocked — complete previous lessons

Identify the question, participants, method, measures and conclusion. Look for a comparison group and ask what alternative explanations remain. A summary or headline may omit limitations. Record what was actually measured rather than substituting a broader claim. Do not assume that a result from one group applies unchanged to every population.
A study of adult volunteers cannot automatically describe all children or every cultural setting.

Outline a fictional study in five headings.
03 · Interpret basic resultsOpen lessonLocked — complete previous lessons

Read graph labels, units and scales before comparing values. A mean summarizes a set but can hide spread or outliers. Relative changes and absolute differences answer different questions. Describe the result in words and verify simple arithmetic. A statistically reported relationship still needs a substantive interpretation and a careful account of limitations.
Scores rise from 50 to 60: the absolute increase is 10 points, not 10 percent; the relative increase is 20%.
Try it yourself
Calculate and label absolute and relative change for 40 to 50.
04 · Plan study and exam practiceOpen lessonLocked — complete previous lessons

Use spaced sessions, retrieval and review of mistakes. Divide study time between concepts, examples and research interpretation. A practice score helps identify weak areas; it does not guarantee a future examination result. Check the actual course syllabus for expectations and allowed resources rather than assuming this prep course matches every institution.
A learner alternates short vocabulary recall with one research-reading exercise each session.
